E.S.B. Using the Integrated Disc Writer.

Here are the instructions for creating the Emergency System Backup CD's using the AISBackup Integrated CD Writer.

  • Load a blank CD. It is recommend that you use a CD-R as these can be more reliable than CD-RW when reading from DOS.

  • Click OK, AISBackup will now split the backup into CD size folders and create a DOS batch file that is used to do the actual restore.

Please ensure that subsequent blank CDs are not smaller than the first CD, using the above example do not use a blank 650MB CD for the second CD.

  • AISBackup will inform you how many blank CDs are required, click Yes to continue.

  • Notice that the CD progress form shows that the CD is bootable, if this is not shown then you have not added the AISBackup menu items to the Windows start-up diskette, see here.

  • Once each CD has been created AISBackup will test that the contents can be restored. On some PC's you may have to manually re-load the CD to get Windows to recognise it.
