Hi,
I've had a problem now for quite sometime, getting autorun to work.
I keep getting a warning box saying
The aisbackup disc writer has not been activated, etc.
For reference I am running version 2.2.0.260, XP SP2, a NEC ND-3520A DVD drive.
I backup to AISBackup Mastered Disc and backup destination is Disc Staging area J:\harddrive_bak\Home\Home.zip
My autorun options are "D:\Program Files\Aquarius IS Consultancy\AISBackup\AISBACKUP.exe" Home|CUMNYNNNNN
The problem first ocurred when I changed the CD writer I was sucesfully using to do backups for the NEC I now have. I have upgraded to the latest firmware.
Doing a backup by choosing Run backup from the main panel works fine. nad in fact if I run the scheduled task while AISBackup is running it will ask if I want to run that task and then kick off OK.
My options up Tools->'Program Settings and Options' are
Select default disc backup ....
G: _NEC DVD_RW ND-3520AW
Direct to CD,DVD ... not selected
Enable AISBacup Integrated Disc Write selected
Disc Write Present Not selected
Enable Third Part Mastering Not selected
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Wil
Problem with autorun
Auto-run problems
Are you running AISBackup in a different user account name or is this a pre version 2.2 AT job?
AISBackup must be run manually at least once in the auto-run account, and this was not possible with the AT jobs so they have been removed from version 2.2.
There is also a new option to allow the jobs to be auto-run without specifying a password, this option only works if the user is logged on, but switch user may be called to leave the PC at the logon screen.

Hi,
I've deleted the scheduled task and recreated it in version 2.2.
I have also run it fully once and it worked fine.
Now the only thing is when I run the scheduled task AIS backup startsup and immediately stops.
If I run the sceduled task while AISB is running the same thing happens, but if I run the job in AISB it backsup everything. ( I have the scripts set to do a full backup everythime ).

AISBackup - Auto Run
Has the job been set to only run once per day? This is the 'O' parameter if you would like to remove it manually.
If not please e-mail us the <jobfile>.log file, this should contain the reason why the job did not run.

Fantastic,
got it working. I forgot that I had only set the backup to run on a Monday, setting it to Tuesday let me test it today!
It was silently quitting, not even putting anything in the log file. It may be worth putting up a dialogue in this case, just in case the scheduled task has been changed and does not match up with the AISB request being actioned, though it's only eejits like me that may be doing that!
It's also not obvious that changing the auto run values are not automatically propagated to the scehduled task either.
Thanks for the outstanding help, I've bothered you lot about a year or two ago and you were great!
Cheers
