L.S.,
when AISbackup is updated from an earlier release, you have the option to adjust the zip extension for existing jobs to aib
When you have answered NO to this option, is it later still possible to do it?
If it is possible, how can it be done?
Regards,
Arie
Change ZIP extensions for existing jobs
Rename backup extension
If the default backup file extension is not ‘zip’ and the backup file extension is zip then the option is available under Manage Backup / Rename Backup File Extension to ….
The default backup file extension is set in Tools / Program Settings and Options / Advanced / Default Backup File Extension.
The option was not made for backup to ftp because the risk was deemed to be not so great (the virus would need to logon to ftp), but I guess that could be changed.

Thanks for the information
The initial backup is made by FTP to a local NAS, but later the local NAS is synchronized to an external storage. Both on the NAS and on the external storage it would be nice to have the option to use a non-zip extension. For new FTP jobs the default backup file extension works, but it would be nice if it could be used for old FTP jobs as well

Rename file extension for FTPO backup jobs
A pre-release version with this update has been uploaded to http://aiscl.co.uk/aisbackupbeta.php If possible please check that this is working.
