I've installed AISBU on my eeepc 701 (4 + 8 GB) running a stripped down XP, & it's perfect for this machine because of its small footprint.

But the eeepc does not have a CD drive, so my question is - Can a Recovery flash drive be made as an alternative to the Recovery CD ?

I can boot from a usb drive that looks like a fixed-drive to Windows, but not a usb flash removable drive at the moment. Maybe not all flsh drives are born equal

If this can be got working it will be added as a menu option.

Hi Barry
Thanks for your reply.

I've been digging around and so far have been able to get a flash drive bootable with another product's restore iso but with AISBU it gets to the pale blue "registered to" OK but from then on it reports an Application Error at memory location 0x0074d79c which prevented placement into memory because of an I/O error-- .

I am sure that this means more to you than it does to me !!!!!!!

For the record I used "grub4dos" to make the flash drive bootable
