I know the new Betas take advantage of VSS, and it appears to be baking up the Exchange database, however the transaction logs do not ever get flushed from the system, thus they fill up quite quickly, any insight into this would be appreciated, as a Backup of exchange should in fact delete these logs, this does work when running a ntbackup of the exchange system

Exchange Server

AISBackup uses the default Volume Shadow Copy Service which Microsoft confirms may have issues when backing up Exchange Server. On the Exchange test PC here everything seems to work okay in backup and restore, but the Exchange Server is not under any stress what so ever.

There are third party programs which allow the backup of opened exclusive files which may do a better job than VSS, have a look at the trial of File Access Manager:

Backup of opened exclusive files may have to be disabled in AISbackup in order to work properly with File Access Manager.

Sorry for the very long delay answering this post, I was hoping to find a more suitable solution.
