suggested FTP Log file feature

I use AISB + FTP to gether the backups from various machines onto one ftp server, and it works great.

I'm working on an automated log scanner, and that would be much simpler if all the log files were together in the same place as the backups themselves.

besides, it sorta feels right to keep a copy of the log right with the backup files.

I'm working on various ways to achieve this with post-jobs that do ftp transfers, but it's going to be finicky. Could AISB do it itself?

A checkbox on the FTP options dialog labelled "send log file also" would be the cat's meow.

AISBackup log files

Pity the e-mail log options do not work for you.

The next version of AISBackup produces an optional XML log, please have a look at this and let me know if it would be more appropriate to save that with the backup. The log files are cumulative, whereas the xml file will be on a per backup basis.

This version of AISBackup should be made generally available soon as a pre-release version, at the moment it is a beta version (although it does not have beta in the caption).
