Restoring Files

Would it be possible to add a feature to be able to restore only certain types of files? For instance, I have been restoring all my photographs following a complete reinstall of my operating system. However, I had set the backup job to save not only the .jpg files but the .exi (photo data) files. Upon restoring, I only wanted to copy the .jpg files back to my PC, so I had to manually uncheck about 200 items.

Selecting files of type

Hi Brian

This is already in AISBackup, well sort of:

Restore From Backup

Find

Type .jpg then click Search (AISBackup does not support *.jpg, just .jpg)

Select the folders you want to restore from then click OK

If you want the .bmp’s as well repeat the above steps substituting .jpg with .bmp, you can even choose different folders to restore from.

If you want the selected files to be restored to another folder you may drag and drop them directly onto Windows Explorer. Actually drag and drop give a lot more control over how files and folders are restored.
