Any thoughts as to implementing an optional auto shut down feature for unattended backups? I've been looking for a program that features this ability, but the ones that I have tried didn't seem to fit my needs. I've just recently purchased a 160 GB external hard drive which, I've partitioned into three logical volumes. I want to be able to either start or schedule backups of my C and D drives to my external drive while I am at work, and have the PC shut down immediatly after completion of the backup. Any thoughts on this?

Auto-shutdown Feature?
Closing the PC after a backup.
We may leave this option separate from AISBackup using the AISCloseWindows in the post run job option we have discussed in the Support Forum.

There is a wonderful program called wizmo available from www.grc.com
among it's many features is the ability to shutdown a computer.
so if you run that as a "post job" command, you could shutdown the computer after your job finishes.
IMHO, wizmo is worth having even if it does not fit this particular need.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world
Auto-shutdown
Beta 2.1, soon to be uploaded as pre-release 2.1, has a built in auto-shutdown, or better in my humble opinion, hibernate option.
