Session verification

Maybe just that i'm ignorant,

but this is the only really session based backup program I know.

THANK YOU..... life would be much harder w/out it.

sure would like to be able to VERIFY that the last session i've saved to backup is still good....

(and replace or add any files which don't verify....)

allowing actual comparison to data on disk would be great,

but

EVEN JUST ALLOWING TESTING OF THE ARCHIVES....

and allowing me to RE-ARCHIVE the files which have errors.....

would sure make me feel safer....

of course...

of course I can verify files as i write them....

what i'm asking for is to be able to verify the entire session... which can include archives written months or years ago......

Verify Backup

Hi

You can verify the whole backup by using the Manage Backup / Validate (Test) Backup option. This will remove any file that fails to test so that if the file still exists on the PC it will be automatically selected for backup next time.

From version 1.9 there is a compare with original data verify option, but even if files do change we consier this a warning rather than an error, whereas a checksum failure is considered a fail. The above test does not run the comparison, this can only be done during a backup session.
