Transferred folder
Transferred folder
I have a backup to an SFTP server. On my local machine (the machine that is backed up) there is a folder called "Transferred" which has over 400 GB of data in it. Is it necessary to keep the contents of this folder, or can it safely be deleted?
Re: Transferred folder
Hi Hugh,
I just checked the source code and there is no folder called 'Transferred' so I'm not sure what this is. I think the safest thing to do is do is to rename the folder to see if anything fails. Does the folder contain AISBackup files? You could also check that these files exist in the backup folder of the SFTP server.

Re: Transferred folder
Hi Barry
I've just noticed that the folder is full of files that are all two years old, so they can't have been involved in recent backups. I renamed the folder and tried a backup; it worked, and AISBackup didn't create a new Transferred folder. So I'm guessing that it's some oddity of an earlier backup run and can be safely deleted. As far as I can tell, the backup on the remote server contains the backed up files.
