I have a daily backup set to 2am. I would like to have confirmation that the backup went through correctly. I use to have a text screen confimation, but some how I don't anymore. I've searched but can't seem to find that option anymore

Can anyone help me find it?

The option to give a completion message is under Advanced Schedule Options. This option just adds a command line parameters to the backup job so you may prefer to use Microsoft Task scheduler to update the parameters manually:

The options are M for completion message or F if the message is to be displayed only if the backup fails.

Example:

If the backup job is called My Backup and there are no other parameters the command line parameter will look like this:

"My Backup|M"

Please note the quotes, this is because there is a space in the backup job name. The | character separates the job name from the parameters.
