Folder security history file is corrupt and has been reset?

Post by brod73 »

Helo, today I notice that two months ago, all my backups logs show the follow line in red color:

The folder security history file is corrupt (Reading index) and has been reset.

It appears after the line "Backing up NTFS folder security settings".

Is that "folder security history file" from AISBACKUP or it is my hard disk that it is corrupted?

Thanks.

I will paste a complete log (red line is at 1:04:56):

Sorry, I not mentioned that my hard disk system is a RAID 0+1 of 2TB (4HDx1TB) ICY BOX IB-RD3264 and it happens that two months ago more or less that I have it running.

Is this message important or only a warning without importance?
How can I address it?

Thanks.

The folder security history file is corrupt (Reading index)

Post by Barry »

Is the message still there after upgrading to build 398? (The file will still be corrupt first time build 398 is run)

There was a problem where the history file was not removed correctly if it became corrupt (the file was still open when we deleted it).

If the message is still there try removing the file <jobname>.fld.hist from the AISBackup database folder before running the backup and then run the backup twice before checking for the message once more.

Barry, sorry but I forgot about this topic.
In fact, the error message disappeared after upgrading to build 398.
Everything is right now.
Thank you very much.
