I am now really in a pickle! I have completly uninstalled AIS Backup, removed the directory and its contents and then re-installed AIS backup after rebooting the machine. I have sent the bug report andas you can see, it reports a major failure in the backup. I can no longer depend on the integrity of the thing.
as you can see from the bug report sent, I set the backup as you suggested and I ran the thing manually. I didn't slow down the CD write speed - I can if essential - because I have had no trouble running AIS at this speed in the past. The logs report problems with the unzip dll. Could I have picked up a bad one somewhere?
I need some help on this please - hopefully with your usual speed.

Further information
I thought that thsi best fit a new post, rather than a reply since the problem no longer fits the original title.
Looking at the log, I see that the failure seemed to be on one set of files - a database from Microsoft Visual source Safe. There are other files on the disk that seem to have run OK. I have scanned the disk for errors with no problems.
Is that of assistance or relevance?
