Sync job type 2 not deleting from destination

Post by DnlPbl »

The second type of sync job (Copy new and newer files only) does not delete files from destination that are not in the source.
This is so, whether running the job interactively (it does not prompt to delete the orphaned folders/files) or from a shortcut with the "c" parameter included.

However, the first sync job type (Copy new and changed files (Older or newer) ), seems to delete orphaned files from the destination just fine. It works when running interactively or by job shortcut.

Also, parameter "Z" is not in the documentation, but appears in sync job shortcuts; what is it?

Sync new and newer files

The delete problem may be a bug, it will get looked at.

The Z parameter is included in jobs run via a shortcut so that AISBackup knows that the job was launched manually as opposed to started by the scheduler. In fact the Z parameter is not used by AISBackup but is there in case we want to use it in the future.

Delete on type '2' copy jobs

This has been fixed and uploaded as build 2.8 380.

Actually, deleted folders were selected as candidates for deletion, however individual files were not.
