Backup running when shutdown occurs

Could you tell me what happens to a backup if Windows shuts down my PC while a backup is running? Does it resume from where it left off next time or does the backup become corrupted?

Restart AISBackup

AISBackup makes a checkpoint about every 500MB and resumes the backup from there. Any files backed up between the checkpoint and the failure (zip files) are deleted. Some files that were backed up may have changed again, these are also selected for backup.

Thanks Barry. That sounds like a very sensible way of handling that type of situation.
