What's the connection between AISB and BartPE?

Post by jlittle »

I know what BartPE is for, but I don't understand the purpose of the AISB plugin for BartPE.
Thanks

Plug-in

Post by Barry »

The plug-in is used to set-up the BartPE environment for AISBackup prior to making the CD.

This option has been superceded by the ability of AISBackup to make a restore CD using Microsoft's Vista pre-installed environment, however a large download is required. Even though the AISBackup recovery CD is made with Vista's pre-installed environment it can be made on Windows XP and is compatible with AISbackup's made of Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7 and Server 2000, 2003 and 2008.

Look at the AISBackup / Restore CD menu item, above, for more information.

yes, I knew about the restore CD, but that large download is impossible with dial-up internet, which is all that's available to us here. that's why I was looking into BartPE.
Thanks
