Restore to Dissimilar Hardware

Is it possible to restore SBS 2003 to dissimilar hardware with AISBackup? If so, what's the best procedure to follow?

It is often possible to restore a backup to dissimilar hardware but some work should be done beforehand to enable all possible disk controllers or the new PC may produce a blue screen error, e.g. Stop 0x0000007B Inaccessible_Boot_Device. Updates may be made by hooking the restored disk up to another computer and then making the necessary registry and driver updates.
