Local vs Backup Date/Time Stamps
Local vs Backup Date/Time Stamps
The file date/time stamps appear to be in GMT. When I restore from a backup and select the option to restore only newer files, AIS backup thinks the files on the backup are newer than the ones on my disk, even if they have not changed. GMT leads my local timestamp by 6 hours. Is there a configuration parameter (short of setting my computer to GMT) that will take care of this?
Restore and time stamps
I have set the time zone to Central America on a PC and backed up files from a FAT32 and NTFS drive in the same backup. When I restored from this backup using both the restore different files and restore newer files I did not get any files selected for restore.
However, I can confirm that AISBackup is displaying times as GMT on the restore form on NTFS drives, FAT drives are displayed correctly. The select files for backup form correctly shows the files using local time.
Please give me some more information about the backup job, drive type, time zone and AISBackup version number so that I may duplicate the problem.
