I have several job setups, for example one that backups a selection of files and folders fom different disks each night. If I upgrade to 2.3, installing it on top of ver 2.2, will I loose these setups and have to build the jobs from scratch again?

No existing job will change, AISBackup uses the same database folder for all versions of AISBackup installed on the PC. All old backups remain compatible with new versions of AISBackup right back to the first release (2000) - the old job formats get converted the first time they are used in a new version of AISBackup.
