Error: Could not connect to backup destination

Post by Martin Whittaker »

I've set up an automatic backup to another PC over a network. However, when it ran last time the other PC was turned off and I got the error:

Could not connect backup destination:

\\Tadpole\Data (E)\

The backup job has not been loaded

What can I do to make sure the backup on Tadpole is up to date? Just copy the zip files with the same date/time as the failed backup from the backup folder to \\Tadpole\Data (E)\ ?

Backup to a network drive

The backup would have stopped (aborted) when AISBackup lost contact with the remote PC, just run another backup and AISBackup will continue from where it failed. The current backup session should be shown as incomplete as a reminder not to use it for disaster recovery purposes.

Manually copying AISBackup files can cause problems, however, the Manage Backup / Validate (Test) Backup option can usually fix them.
