Each time I bkup Docs&Settings, ProgFiles, Windows I disable Norton AV and both antispam progs first but receive message at end: 'May be unsafe"' The main missing files are in folder Windows/System32/Config/
security,system,software,default, sam.

2 questions (a) Would it really be unsafe to restore this backup?
(b) How can I produce a safe backup, since AIS is useless to me unless I can produce one?
I'd be grateful for your advice.
Thank you Murray Roston

The files you mention are the Windows Registry files. The current version of AISBackup is able to back these up.

In order to ggive a more informed answer please supply the follow information:

Which version of Windows and service pack are you using? (from your question I guess Windows XP)

Which version of AISBackup are you using?

The version of AISBackup Murray was using was not capable of backing up the registry after Service Pack 2 was applied to Windows XP.
