I'm trying to have a network backup:

The client is a windows xp professional version 2002 service pack 2 laptop. The aisbackup version is 2.0.0.236. The connection with the server is a fast ethernet crossover cable. The network card is setted to 100 full duplex.

The server is an apple imac g4 with mac os x 10.3.8. A firewire disk is exported by samba 3.0.5. The share is mounted correctly on the laptop. The smb.conf file is:

I create a standard full backup job with standard parameters. I have a lot of errors in the event viewer of xp:

event ID: 50
description:
{Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file
data from buffers to \Device\LanmanRedirector. The write operation
failed, and only some of the data may have been written to the file.

for every written file. No errors on the server side.

Any idea?

This is not a problem with AISBackup but a problem with the network. Unfortunately, we cannot replicate this problem as we do not have a Mac running Samba. Here are a few things you can try:

Backup directly to the MAC disk using the Mac file sharing rather than Samba (if possible).

Backup to the internal Mac drive using 1/ MAC file sharing, 2/ Samba.
