When I try to backup to a unformatted CD using the integrated AIS Backup CD Writer, I get a window saying, “There is no CD/DVD writer connected to this PC. Backup aborting”. Below is the log for this activity.

However when I run a backup using the Packet Writing System (DirectCD in my case), it works (if my disc is formatted of course)

CD writer problems
Not all CD writer / PC combinations work with the integrated ASPI drivers. Use the Tools / Program Options / Troubleshoot CD/DVD writer faults and choose the Binary Magics ASPI drivers if running under Windows 2000 or XP.
