I have been using AISB successfully for quite a while - backing up to an external USB hard drive. Suddenly, I get a report that the drive is not connected - though it is and I can easily move files from and to it easily. I have run a variety of error checks with Norton Utilities with no errors reported.
How do I fix this?
Thank you.

Missing USB drive?
AISBackup detects the remote USB and FireWire drive based on the volume name. Has the name of the drive changed?
If the volume name has changed here is a way to get AISBackup to recognise the new name:
Select the Job
Manage Backup / Delete Backup Job
Confirm delete with Yes
To Delete existing backup choose NO
Tools / Load Job From Backup Media
Locate the <Job>.bdb file on the USB drive.
Re-instate: YES
Choose any one of the existing backup ‘zip’ files (is asked to do so)
Is this a FireWire or USB drive: YES
Backup from another computer: NO
AISBackup will now look for the files on the renamed USB drive.
To run a backup now select Load Job

Thanks! You were absolutely "right on". I had changed the name to correct a mis-spelling. I'm up and running again and delighted with your support.
