Windows xp registry restore
using versions 1.7 and 1.8, aisbackup backs up the registry but attempts to restore fail . Tools/restore registry produces a selection page but no delete\restore option check box. Is this fault known or am I missing something?
Early beta versions of AISBackup 1.7 did not create the registry log file correctly, this corruption would cause the Tools / Restore Registry option not to display any registry backups.
The file RegistryBackups.dat contains the details of the registry backups:
The file should look something like this:
The data shown has wrapped lines, there are only 3 records and each starts with a number like 37826.4107987269 (This is the date and time of backup expressed as a number).
If you are careful you may use Notepad to edit the garbage from the start of the file but it may be easier to delete RegistryBackups.dat and start again.

I mis-understood the problem
The problem is the buttons are not visible if large fonts are installed on the PC. This has been fixed and will be uploaded soon.
