Backup only local OneDrive files

Post by k64 »

Hi,

Most of my OneDrive files are in the cloud but some (that could be needed when out of internet range) are also on local drive.

Is there a way to specify that files only in the cloud are not to be downloaded by AISBackup?

Many regards

Sorry for the very long delay replying to you, this is something that still has to be looked at. A new beta version of AISBackup is being made ready that fixes bugs found by AISBackup users and provides better system recovery for 64-bit systems because with many newer PCs it is not possible to use a 32-bit environment for restore.

AISBackup and OneDrive

Microsoft manages OneDrive and it has been found that the best way to restore OneDrive is don't do it! Instead Windows will display a message The "OneDrive" folder in (folder name) is not your original "OneDrive" folder, click Try Again to restore the connection. Restoring an old copy of OneDrive may cause synchronisation issues.

You may still include the OneDrive folder in a backup, but only files that are present on the PC will be backed up, and these are backed up to a folder of the same name but with .AISBackup appended the folder name.

This has been introduced in the latest version of AISBackup that is currently in a beta release.
