After every scheduled backup a report window pops up.
Is it possible to only show this window when there was some kind of error/failure?

Disc dead - backup earased (bug)
Version 2.7.0.329 When a scheduled task tries to backup over my LAN and the PC on the other end is switched off AIS simply does nothing. But yesterday it shown behavior that can be qualified as a bug I think. One of my HDs is old. In still works fine for light loads. But occasionally it just 'vanish...

Access denied when restoring
When I start restoring to a NTFS drive with compression off the following happens: AIS creates directories on the destination drive. But restoring files into those directories fail. -> access denied. When I check the files attributes of teh created directories I see that compression of the just crea...

Maybe you could also consider another way of handling things. A client on each PC that only sends data to the backup server where the data is processed. I'm forced to have 2 copies of AIS installed because when I run my backups from my backup PC AIS can't look inside 'Program Files' because windows ...

That would be a compromise that would be acceptable for all users I think. When reading back my post I think I was not clear enough. I get 2 popups. a] The popup that shows progress. b] A big splash screen just being some advertising. Your answer is about 'a' I guess. Is 'b' also a 'feature request'...

Popup
When AIS backup runs it's backup it pops up a progress window.
I don't like it cluttering up my screen. I trust that AIS does it's job as configured so I don't need to be reminded every time it runs.
How can I switch of that message?

It's set to:Every 10 minutes from 5:00 AM for 24 hours every Mon........Sun AISbackup shows: Next Schedule: Monday (a day instead of 10 mins) I tried rescheduling etc. With the another schedule AISbackup seemed to know the correct scheduled times but ev...

Re: e-mail notification
Thanks, Barry!Barry wrote:The best place to set e-mail notification is using:
The 'global' auto run e-mail option should be removed and can be found in option:
Tools / Auto Running AISBackup / E-mail Settings tab
That was setting that was causing my problems

E-mail notification
I've set e-mail notification to 'Send if job fails' but I always recieve a message stating the backup was succesful.
Are there perhaps 2 places where I have to configure email notification?
AIS backup 2.2 on Win XP Pro with all updates installed.

It's for home use. I like to use one copy on the backup server. That server is soley for storing backups and should take care of the processing (I know about the cpu slider) My gbit lan has no problems with streaming. Barry I think the problem is gone. I began getting 'write back failure' errors the same time I started testing AIS. It looks like one of my PCI-SATA interface card is near to dying. When I removed it there where no problems anymore. I think AIS was reading from that drive while it was 'down'. Not re...
