Why? !!!
I don't understand why you think it should keep a file that wasn't wanted in the last 2 sessions. Surely if you are only keeping the last 2 sessions, then all that should be kept are the files that were backed up during the last 2 sessions?
It's very confusing!

All Jobs Tab
I really like the new All Jobs tab - brilliant idea!
But as always, if you give someone something, they just want more...
I think it would be even better if it kept the sort order as the previous time. (I would like to keep it in date order, rather than alphabetical order)
What do you think?

Not correct Session Type when "copying" a job
When creating a new job and it is based on an existing job, all the parameters and file/folder selections seem to be the same except for the session type which is always 1. Sessions Based. It seems strange because all the more detailed parameters relating to the original's session type are there. Is...

Advanced Sessions wording
After trying it for myself I think I now understand Advanced Sessions! And now that I understand it, I think the wording on the Advanced Session Management screen is very misleading… “Retain 3 of today’s backup sessions” “Retain 7 Daily Backup Sessions” This surely implies that only 7 Daily Backup S...

Unwanted files are kept indefinitely
I was trying to understand Advanced Sessions (again!) when I got some unexpected results. I recreated a simple job to demonstrate one of the problems as follows... Simple sessions based backup of c:\test1\testfile1.txt which keeps 2 sessions & prunes unwanted sessions. Ran job. Changed files to ...

Have to exit AISBackup to refresh folder sizes.
The size of each folder is shown when previewing a backup. I then cancel the job and delete some unwanted files and folders from my drives then preview the backup again and the folder size remains the same as before, as though I haven't deleted the files and folders - very confusing :? I have to exi...

Further info...
I've just remembered...
On one occasion AISBackup asked for the previous DVD and said the DVD was the correct name but the wrong DVD! I selected the extra option of "use this DVD anyway" and it worked OK.
Hope this helps.

Formatting +RWs
I'm having similar problems - any resolutions yet? I am experimenting with running jobs direct to DVD, previously I've simply copied backups to disc using Nero and I don't have Roxio installed. I've had lots of problems... AISBackup forces me to format all DVD's before backing up (I'm only using +RW...

Advanced Session Management
I'm finding it hard to get my head around potentially conflicting backup options... In 'Change Backup Job Sessions' screen, I presume the 'Keep |All| Sessions' doesn't apply when 'Advanced Session Management' is selected, and if this is the case could the option be disabled when 'Advanced Session Ma...

Confused by in-use files during full system restore
Re-organising my disks and thought I'd use the opportunity to try a full system restore - since I've luckily never had to. Performed once yesterday to an empty drive and 3 files failed - "media error". I restored the 3 files again and everything worked perfectly - totally excellent!! Tried...
