When I click on the AISBartPEPlugin command in the subdirectory AISBartPEPlugin, I am asked to point where the BartPE executable is. I do this and then the window closes and nothing happens. Can you please explain what is happening when you execute this command?
Thank you

I tried to make a bootable DVD with BartPE and my Vista Home Premium but it does not work (BartPE does not recognize the Vista system files). Assuming that I can get a copy of the bootsect.exe, can you let me know where I should copy this file on a Windows XP system and after I make the bootable DVD...

Cheers Barry On my Vista Home Premium I have 3 sets of backups for my DELL Inspiron 6400 Laptop: 1. A 3 DVD+R set of the C:\ drive (disaster recovery of data and Vista), 2. Disk to Disk Copy
I installed a new 80GB HD and kept my old 40GB HD as the D:\ drive. I did a clean install of the XP Home from a slipstream CD I made (SP1a + SP2) and then I made 2 system backups with AISBackup on CD-R and it worked as always very good (these are my master / clean backups). I also made 2 system back...

Bootable CD
Thank you for the info on the AIS Debug Mode, It worked. Also the AISBackup Session Tutorial was very informative. I did the following exercise to make a bootable CD to restore my system (if I ever need it). I made a new bootable CD with Bart PE (v3.1.3) including the plugins AISBackup, AISSysRestor...

On your article “ Setting up Bart’s PE for AISBackup” you state that “AISBackup version 2.2 may be used to create DVD's or CD's from ISO files using a hidden menu option Tools / Burn ISO Image. Press * until AISBackup enters Debug Mode to activate this option.” I am unable to activate this hidden me...

Incremental Backups
I have some difficulty understanding how to do incremental backups with AISbackup. Let’s say that I run a backup job for my working files (2.8 GB) and it is successful. When I write new data to my working files, do I have to run the same backup job again or there is a way to just append the new data...

DVD Writer
I bought a DVD writer for my backups and I find it much better than a CD writer. However when I try to access the backups from the WindowsXP Explorer it seems that the system hangs and have to use the Task Mgr to stop it (my backup was 4.2 GB and I try 2 different backups with compression and withou...

FIND FILE
I am using version 2.2.0.262. When I click on Tools/Find File and type the file name from my selected backup, AISBackup puts the file at the top part of the window. Now when I type another file to search, the previous file disappears. Is there a way to search for few files at the same time from the ...
