All Sessions
All sessions shows all files that have ever been backed up. Your second restore from the last backup session deleted the icons that did not exist on the PC when the latest backup was made (AISBackup should have asked to confirm the deletions). FYI: Desktop item positions are held in the registry and...

Public vs. user desktop
Files in the public desktop folder are shared between all user accounts, files in \user\ account name are only for that user's account. Some applications are installed for all users, even user accounts yet to be created (if any), hence the public folder installation. Sometimes applications ask the q...

OneDrive backup problem
Nothing has changed in the way that AISBackup backs up OneDrive folders, I still have a backup to OneDrive that was set-up when it was called SkyDrive and that is running right now, and will take a few hours. I will look into this for you. I am not surprised when a Windows update breaks existing pro...

E-mail settings
This problem usually occurs when using MAPI, the SMPT option should work okay. To use an Outlook SMTP setting you may use 'Get Settings', this will populate the form with all settings except the password for your chosen e-mail address. If you use encrypted e-mail (preferred), and you must with e-mai...

Backup type for retaining one version of a file
Unfortunately your overall aim cannot be achieved with AISBackup: To retain one copy of each file then the sessions 1 option will achieve this. The option to retain deleted files cannot have an expiry date set. Making a 7 day backup will keep up to 7 versions of each file over a 7 day period where 1...

Change drive letters
For major changes like this and if the directory structure is exactly the same use the Manage Backup / Backup Maintenance option, in the left hand pane right click the drive that is to be moved and choose Move Folder To New Drive.

This is a little tricky if the accounts are not administrator accounts, which I guess is likely. The backup jobs are stored in one folder for the PC and not the account. I would set up a backup job under each user account to backup the documents, ensuring that the ‘Backup NTFS Security Settings’...

Backup job location
The backup job information is stored in c:\program data\aquarius is consultancy\AISBackup, The Program Data folder is normally hidden. The new OS is probably using the 'C' drive so using the backup again will update the previous windows 7 backup. That is okay but may not be what you desire. An alter...
