Error recovering network mappings during backup
Barry, I've got two Vista x64 machines. One of them displays a red cross for all maped NAS shares. What does this means? Shares are selectable but the button "Mapped Network Drives" comes up with nothing. The other machines works fine, but from there I don't backup any share. I've checked ...

Check disabled hard links during Repair Contents File
barry,
Hard links were checked during Repair Contents File although the option was not enabled for backup. This feature has a major performance impact. Can you disable this option when disabled during backup?
With regards,

Error recovering network mappings during backup
Barry, I created soms backup jobs backing up some NAS related network mappings. All works well until I kill a AISBackup instance under Vista. During a backup restart none of the network mappings within backup jobs are found. Work around: create a new job with one network mapping and all works fine a...

Vista x64: VSS not supported by 32-bit requestors
Hello Barry, Because I use now several x64 Vista systems the need growed for complete backups. The only true alternate solution at this moment is True Image from Acronis. But I like AISBackup very much and using it for several years so I won't give up! I read that Delpi 2010 will support x64 compila...

FTP attach error
I've tested the FTP job. It has nothing to do with the workgroup. When you change the userid/password to a unauthorized Remote Root folder then the test FTP connection goes well (with a warning) but every Remote Root folder change results in the message "Failed to attach to: <ip address>"....

Re: NTFS Settings
I think that there must be something changed under Vista because the jobs runs well under XP. And I use shared settings, databases, etc.
Will you also look to the performance of the "Preparing Backup" fase?

Re: NTFS settings
Barry,
I've unchecked NTFS settings (and not checked "Run as an Administrator") and the job runs well!
Now I know what is happening. Because I moved a lot of data to the NAS device I resetted the backup jobs and properly re-activeted this option.
When can I use this option?

Re: NAS Backup problem
I've got three Vista (x86) and one Vista (x64) and all got the same problem. With XP there is no problem. Selecting files is NO problem. It's all about the message: 22:57:13 ERR Failed to backup network file: Check Access Rights or the file was Opened Exclusively: \\QNAP-TS-109-II\ImageFiles\CameraW...

Re: Hard Link
Hard Link: is that the same thing as Junctions. Is is usefull to look for hard links when ext3 is the source filesystem? Are hard links only valid for NTFS filesystems? Maybe you can skip this check when the source filesystem isn't NTFS.

Re: NAS Backup problem
Hello,
Yes, both problems don't occure under XP. What do you mean with "hard link"?
NAS is using ext3.
This morning I saw the x64 update. I will test it this evening.
