Re: Computers not available
I see what is happening now. The share is still mapped albeit to a network drive that is offline. The message will be put back in the next release of AISBackup. Hi Barry, I installed Verson 1.8.3.192 yesterday, the behavior is unchanged. After I select "Open Job" AISbackup is checking the...

Re: Missing Network Shares
The latest version of AISBackup performs Network backups as follows: If the drive is not available and AISBackup is running interactively a prompt is displayed asking whether the job should continue. When the job is run via a desktop shortcut it continues if the share is not available (maybe we sho...

AISBackup does ignore missing Network-Shares
Hi Barry, with Build 189 AISbackup changed behaviour when a network-share is not available. I´m running Build 189 under W2K SP4. Normally I backup some directories on a W98-Client which is not allways powered on. Build 185 was looking for the network-share an asked me to continue or to abort when th...

Re: Network drives
Hi Barry,Barry wrote: Backup with missing network share now works.
Remembers last CD speed selected rather than last speed actually used - different for CD-R and CD-RW.
I had a first look at it and it works fine.
Thanks a lot, the support is great.

Re: Network backup
This feature was altered in version 1.6, the missing PC is reported to the log and the backup continues. Please let us know if this solves the problem. I´m using version 1.6.0.145 with Windows 2000. When I click on the "Run Backup"-Button AISBackup immediatly reports the missing computer ...

unable to backup with missing network-drive
Hi Barry, my standard backup script includes a network-share from another PC at my site. when the network-PC is down when I load the script AISbackup asks me if I want to continue without the network-drive. When I answer "Yes" I´m still not able to start the backup afterwards. The backup-B...

Re: Write Speed
AISBackup should be remembering the last write speed used, this is different for CD-RW and CD-R. We will check this part of the code. Barry at least between two backup-sessions it does not remember the speed actually. I´m not shure at the moment if the speed is remembered for the second CD within o...

CD-writer not remembering last write-speed
Hi,
just another suggestion: it would be nice if the CD-writer-interface could remember the last write-speed used. Now it always starts with 1x selected and the backup takes quite a long time if i forget to switch to a higher speed.

Overwiew of files to be backed up during current session
Hi, I´ve seen this function in another backup-product (online-backup by netstore, currently sold by clearlybusiness.com) and I´d like to see such a function in AISBackup very much: After loading the script I would like to see a list of all the files to be backed up in this session (including path an...
