Fantastic, got it working. I forgot that I had only set the backup to run on a Monday, setting it to Tuesday let me test it today! It was silently quitting, not even putting anything in the log file. It may be worth putting up a dialogue in this case, just in case the scheduled task has been changed...

Hi, I've deleted the scheduled task and recreated it in version 2.2. I have also run it fully once and it worked fine. Now the only thing is when I run the scheduled task AIS backup startsup and immediately stops. If I run the sceduled task while AISB is running the same thing happens, but if I run ...

Problem with autorun

Hi, I've had a problem now for quite sometime, getting autorun to work. I keep getting a warning box saying The aisbackup disc writer has not been activated, etc. For reference I am running version 2.2.0.260, XP SP2, a NEC ND-3520A DVD drive. I backup to AISBackup Mastered Disc and backup destinatio...

Long story short for anyone who has the same problem. First I have the latest beta load, so I'd recommend downloading the latest first, and I'm using thje built in CD writer. Secondly I created a new script based on the same script, except that it did backup files open exclusively, as this is only f...

I tried that quickly last night and still had no success. I will email the debug result to you today ( if I get a chance! ) I was wondering, as I am using a CD-RW does it make any difference if I choose Quick Erase or Full Erase at the load media dialogue? The closest to Alcohol120 I would have is t...

Can't write to RW disks anymore

Hi, I've upgraded from ( roughly version 1.0.5? ) to 1.7, and changed my backup script to use AIS mastered CD's. But now when I do a backup, either with pre-formatted or un-formatted disks I either get a message saying the disk is too small or AIS just can't write to the disk. Do I have to master th...

I am currently using five RW disks to keep five weeks worth of backups, but one main consideration I had was that I wanted the first week to backup everything, possibly using more than one disk, and the consecutive weeks to be just an incremental backup, saving me swapping disks first thing in the m...

Thanks for the reply. I am using RW CDs to do the backup, and each week I use a new one. In this case does the number of sessions retained mean anything in this case. I took the incremental backup to mean that only files that had changed would be written to the disk each week. Have I misunderstood t...

Weekly backups

I've been using AISBackup in earnest now for a while, and thought I'd better buy it! I was wondering, I have been doing weekly incremental backups using the scheduler in XP. On week 1 I will force a full backup, with incremental backups for the next four weeks. If I miss, say week 2, then before wee...
