Re: Removing completion messages

Thanks. I'll remove the M. This might be a good feature to add in the future... a checkbox in the job options.
Do I also delete the | ?

How stop the completion message?

When I created the job, I selected the option to display a completion message every time. Now I don't want any completion message. How do stop AISBackup from displaying a completion message?

Most days have 2 zip files. Why?

I have set AIS Backup to run once a day. I just noticed that on most days, but not all, there are two zip files created instead of the expected one file. The files are created within a minute of each other and can be of similar or dissimilar filesize. Why are two zips created on most days?

Thanks.

Barry, I have AISBackup 1.7 and set up the auto run script there originally a week ago. After your last reply, I added a password to my user account and then added the username and password info through AISBackup Auto Run utility. This morning, AISBackup again failed to execute and MS Scheduler gave...

describe the key file

Barry, Your suggestion to keep AISBackup on a CD is good. How do I locate the key file you mention? Brook AISBackup uses standard zip file format unless the file is very large (by default > 100MB, but you can change this). We have been often asked why AISBackup produces so many zip files, this is to...

back up file format and manual restore

I'm about to try out aisbackup and was wondering about the following. Are backup files in a standard zip format that can be read by third party zip/unzip programs? Can I restore files manually with an unzip program rather than using the AIS restore functions? I would like the capability to restore f...
