Re: Copy backup to external Blu-ray failed on disk 5 of 6

Hi, Barry, Thanks for checking into this. I'll go ahead and let it start with Disk 06 and just make a note on the disk that there's no disk 5. Do you have any suggestion how to check that restoring from this media (after "open job from backup media") will not get stuck looking for a disk 5...

Disk-to-Disk log says "Compressing" for some files

Running 3.2 build 428 on Windows 7 32-bit. Doing a disk-to-disk copy, and I notice the log file says many files such as .jpg, .dsd and others are "compressing" For example: .... Compressing F:\...\somefile.jpg Copied F:\...\somefile.jpg .... Is it really compressing and uncompressing these...

Hi, Barry, Thanks for the info. All of the restorations are into empty directories. > you may have to do a considerable amount of manual security setting. Exactly. That's what I hope to avoid. It may take a while to create a list for a test case. However, there is a lot of good information in the li...

Request: "Expert" mode for third party mastering

I Would like to see an "expert" mode for third party mastering that does not do any checking of drives or media -- just create the disk image in the staging area and then trust me to get it onto the media somehow. One application of this is where the DVD writer is on a different machine wh...
