Restoring to a new HD
My HD crashed and I have installed a new one. Obviously I need to reload AIS but how do I get the proper information to convert from the 30 day version to a permanent one? I'm using Windows XP. Also, with a current version of AIS up and running, how do I restore from a backup? The comventional metho...

Failure to receive completion message.
I never did see your "previous reply" - I must have missed something. I'm not sure I understand your solution. At the moment the command line for one of the scheduled backups is: "C:\Program Files\Aquarius IS Consultancy\AISBackup\AISBACKUP.exe" "Total C|Z" Do I add the...

Failure to get a completon message
I have scheduled several backup jobs - these do run properly. But, though I have checked the boxes to receive a completion message, this doesn't happen. Any suggestions? Thank you. * Title: AISBackup Program: C:\Program Files\Aquarius IS Consultancy\AISBackup\AISBACKUP.exe Version: 2.2.0.261 Registr...

Is there a manual for AIS Backup?
The subject tells it all. Is there a current manual? I have one dated Oct 2002 - is it current? (I have no recollection as to how I got it and printed it.)
Thank you.
Thank you.

Restore from another computer
Thanks for your typically prompt response. I apologize for the delay in my answering. It turned out that I had a bad cable connecting the HD to the USB port on the computer - and it has taken me a long time both to replicate the problem and then to cure it. As I may have written previously, I think ...

Installing 1.9 over 1.83
I am now using 1.8.3 with Win 2000. Can I download 1.9 and install it over 1.8.3? Would this be an upgrade for which there would be no charge insamuch as my current version has been registered and paid for? If so, is it a case of just downloading 1.9 in the same folder as 1.8.3? I guess I'd have to ...

False report: USB not connected
Thanks! You were absolutely "right on". I had changed the name to correct a mis-spelling. I'm up and running again and delighted with your support.

False report: "USB drive not connected"
I have been using AISB successfully for quite a while - backing up to an external USB hard drive. Suddenly, I get a report that the drive is not connected - though it is and I can easily move files from and to it easily. I have run a variety of error checks with Norton Utilities with no errors repor...

Adding AIS to a second home based computer
The email address was either of the following insamuch as I changed providers some months ago. The first was:
dolph@ridgenet.net
Although it is likely I purchased AIS when I was using that email address, it is no longer valid. My current address is:
dolph@mchsi.com
Thank you.

Installing on a 2nd computer
I am installing AIS on a second computer in my home - i.e., for personal use. Unfortunately that computer does not yet have an internet connection, but I was able to transfer the downloaded file from my present computer and install it on the new one. Question: Does the license allow me to use the pr...
