Hi Barry,
I changed the complete backup-target-path to lower case now and it works without having to use an extra script.
The problem is not with the files to be backed up but with the backup-destination-path. Maybe there is still a conversion to lower case somewhere?

case-conversion when opening files?
Hi Barry, I did some further investigation on this. The target-network-share is mounted on an encrypted folder on the NAS. Due to the encryption the file-acces seems to be case-sensitive when I try to access a file or path directly. If I enter dir \\srv3\backup-enc\AISbackup I get "file not fou...

Problems backing up to a network drive
Hi Barry! I found out how to get the backup work everytime: If I open a command-prompt and go to the target-directory before I start the backup it works. But I really have to go to the target-directory, it´s not enough to change to the target-drive. Do you have an idea what could be the reason? Rega...

Problems backing up to a network drive
Hi Barry, I have a problem backing up to a network-drive. The Network-Share is mapped as drive L: on my Windows XP. I can access drive L without problems from the windows-explorer. When I start the backup-job (with "run backup" or "preview") AISBackup nearly every time tells me t...

Re: Zip file sizes
There is a change of disk – this is because the disk drive letter is not held within a zip file. this seems to be the reason for the small files I see in the backup-job. But I don´t understand why the disk is changed so often. For example in one session the following files were created in this orde...

Backup-File sizes not as expected
Hi Barry, I´m wondering if the setting for maximum file-size in a backup-job is working correctly. I have a configuration backing up to a a local disk-drive. The Backup-Job ist configured with max. backup-file-size 50 MB max. number of files 2500 On the initial backup most of the zip-files were abou...

strong encryption for ZIP-Files
Hi Barry, I have to store my backup-files in an rather unsafe location so I´m looking for a strong encryption for the ZIP-Files. As far as I see AISbackup is using the standard-ZIP-encryption which is rather weak and can be broken quite easily by a brute-force-attack or a known-plaintext-attack. Wou...

Re: AISBackup
Hi Barry, I tried 271 an ran into the same problem. So I tracked the problem down a bit: I´ve got the same result with the Binary Magics ASPI and also with the Nero-ASPI-Driver on my System. I´m able to use a third-Party DVD-writer (Nero) to produce the DVD. I can add Sessions to this DVD with the A...

Re: Disc writer
Hi Barry, the disc is never recognized on this machine. When I try to access it from Windows Explorer I get an error-message "illegal function". The discs created with build 271 (same brand of media) work without a problem. I did not check with build 271 again but I will try. Can I install...

Problem reading AISBackup-burned DVD for restore/verify
Hi, I recently updated from build 271 to build 295. I´m backing up to DVD-R with a NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG under Windows XP Prof SP2. Since the Update to build 295 I´m not able to read the burned DVD in the NEC-Drive after it was ejected once. AISBackup burns the DVD and verifies the data (Job is set t...
