Preview file and folder sizes
I notice that in version 5.0 the change "Number of files and total size of files backed up displayed on each folder in the Reports / Sessions option." has been made but same display seems to have been removed from Preview. Was this intentional? I have reverted to previous version as I real...

Re: Cloning boot drive to SSD
Very interesting.
Thanks for the advice Barry - It's prompted me to do a little more research before taking the plunge and great to know that I don't have to restart all my backup jobs at the same time as taking on a new nail biting task.
Have a good one!

What is impact of cloning boot drive to new SSD?
I'm considering cloning my boot drive to a new SSD and trying to anticipate the issues I might have. Is it possible to clone the boot drive without my several AISBackup jobs thinking that all files on the drive have changed and all need to be backed up? If not, I will simply accept this and prepare ...

Run As Administrator icons disappear from All Jobs tab
When I run a job where LAN connection fails I then return to the All Jobs tab and the Run as Administrator icons have disappeared from all jobs (reverting to standard icons). Can only get them to be reinstated by restarting AISBackup. No huge impact but made me think the Run As Administrator setting...

Win 7 PC goes into sleep mode and DVD backup session fails
I have recently 'upgraded' to Win 7 and it has caused me no end of problems. The latest problem I am trying to overcome is that it doesn't recognise disk & processor activity as being valid reasons to prevent the PC going into sleep mode. Despite this AISBackup seems to keep the power on for dis...

Yes, I think so Barry. Otherwise it contradicts the Sessions Log where after reinstating the job it shows the actual last session and says Completed Successfully which presumably for the same reasons it shouldn't really be writing to disc until AFTER the disc has been mastered? Perhaps a little warn...

Reports wrong last run date after reinstating old backup job
I've just opened a few old backup jobs from DVDs and reinstated them and the 'All Jobs' and 'Job' tabs show the last run date as the one before the last. The correct last session seems to be available for restore and the summary tab shows the correct last session, so it looks like it's just a case o...

Thanks for the reply Barry. Eventually resolved this by reinstalling AISBackup. Once I had reinstalled I realised what must have happened: I must have gone to full screen view, moved the folders/files divide slightly to the right and when I next used the preview in normal view the files window is co...

Possible bug with preview
AISBackup Version: 2.8.0.380
Platform: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (Build 2600)
Bug?:
After running preview AISBackup gives option to "Select files to remove from backup" but I only have the option to select folders.

Confusing instructions
As a consequence of my earlier topic today... I’ve got to say I find the whole issue of which actions will affect individual jobs and which have global consequences impossible to understand without trial and error. Could we have explanations e.g. when importing contents files that tell us that this ...

Loss of DVD backup session - overwritten by AISBackup
Just before full restore of C drive... On 23/5 I ran an incremental b/up to a network drive followed by one to DVD Set C . AISBackup behaved admirably during restore of PC from network drive but I didn't think about the AISBackup contents file for DVD Set C. After the restore AISBackup on the PC kne...

Why are two builds available? (346 AND 348)
Wanted to update to build 348 and selected AISCL as download site but found I'd downloaded 346.
Re-read download page and found that download.com and tucows have the latest 348 build whereas AISCL still has 346.
Presume this is an oversight?
