Issue: missing Jobe files When I opened AISBackup today all my previously stored jobs were gone and none were listed. However, the appropriate backup modules exist on the external drive(s). Can I restore the job descriptions and instructions? Must I start from scratch? Version 6.0.0.505 Windows 11 H...

Thank you Barry, Your comments and advice were very helpful. I think I resolved the problem by disabling SpywareDoctor while running the backup. Before doing this, however, I ran the backup in ****All Debug Mode ****. The backup failed, but the LastFolderChecked.txt file was from a previous successf...

Barry Thank you for you r prompt response to my question. I am late in responding because my internet connections went down and it has taken several days to repair and replace some equipment. I agree that the disappearance of files from the zip files and retention I the .bdb is bizarre. In all I fou...

Positive Feedback
I have been using Build 255 of Version 2.2 for some time now and it seems to be working very well. Backup of opened exclusive files works well as does the restore procedure. I admit that I use the program the same way all the time - basic data backup each day so have not pushed the beta version.

Restoring a backup when disc crashes
I have a new hard drive (the old one crashed 2 days ago). I have several AISBackup files on an external hard drive and would like to recover them. However I have no working copy of AISBackup on my new machine. I was using build 249 at the time of the crash. Can I download a copy from the web site an...

Barry, Thank you for the information on the different Erase functionalities. I had noticed that I sometimes got better results when doing a full erase - now I know why. It is timely that you mentioned Dantz as I plan to purchase a Maxtor external hard drive to use for backups and disaster recovery. ...

Quick Erase versus Full Erase
What is the difference between the two erase options? I realize that Quick Erase will suffice in most cases. What does Full Erase do that is different.

Loss of backup file
I seem to have inadvertently deleted one of my backup jobs from my hard drive. At least it no longer shows up in AISBackup and the buz and bdb files are not on the hard drive. They are not in my recycle bin either. Am I doomed? I know I can recreate the job, but is there any way I can recover the in...
